Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Aikake Lui, Kuleana Helu 3218, apana 1 an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas proper application having been made to the Minister of the Interior by Elizabeth Cockett nee Elizabeth Lewis for a Royal Patent for the within described land, a certificate defining the boundaries of the same having been filed, and the Government Commutation thereon amounting to Five Hundred $500 dollars, having been duly paid.
THEREFORE, Lunalilo Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto Aikake Lui all that certain piece of land situate at known ast the Ahupuaa of Mapulehu Kona in the Island of Molokai and described as follows:
Notes of Survey of Ahupuaa of Land called Mapulehu situated in the district of Kona, Island of Molokai
Commencing at the South corner of this land, upon the sea at a monument of stones, and running from thence

Containing an area of Two thousand three hundred & ninety eight Acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral and metallic mines of every description;
To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said Aikake Lui, Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all Landed Property held in Fee Simple.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Island to be affixed, this Eighteenth day of August 1879.
