Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto C. Kanaina, L.C. Award 8559B, Apanas 17 & 18 an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas proper application having been made by C. Afong to the Minister of Interior for a Royal Patent for the within described land, and the government commutation thereon was relinquished by an order of the Privy Council.
Therefore, Lunalilo Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto C. Kanaina all that certain piece of land situate known as the Ahupuaa of Makahanaloa & Pepekeo Hilo, in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:
