Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission.

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Kuihelani (no E. Kahakumakaliua) Kuleana Helu 463 an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas G.W.C. Jones, the present occupier of a portion of the said Ahupuaa of Punahoa 1st, has presented to the Minister of Interior, a certificate of the Commissioner of Boundaries for the Island of Hawaii defining the boundaries of a portion of said Ahupuaa as hereinafter described, and has paid into the royal Exchequer the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50) as the Government Commutation therein in accordance with the provisions of ‘an act' approved the 29th day of July, 1872, “To Regulate the issuing of Royal Patents'

Therefore, Lunalilo Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto Kuihelani no E. Kahakumakaliua, all that certain piece of land situate at Punahoa 1st, Hilo, in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:

Commencing at the Northeast corner of this land at a 6x6 redwood post on edge of ditch on the mauka slope of Halae Hill on which is nailed a copper plated marked P, and running along Punahoa 2nd according to Royal Land Patent No. 1946
