Royal Patent, Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land titles have by their decision awarded unto The American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas by Royal Patent No. 1600 of this series, said land was confirmed to said Board in fee simple, and whereas by authority of said Board a new Patent has been requested and authorized to be granted to John D. Paris for the land hereinafter described annulling so mulch of said Patent No. 1600 as relates to the said land ....

Containing 346 88/100 acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral or metallic mines of every description.

To have and to hold the above granted land as an Estate in Fee Simple, unto the said John D. Paris, his heirs and assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council equally, upon all landed property held in Fee Simple.

In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, this first day of November, 1854.
