Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto James Ruddach (claim 2342) an estate in Fee Simple in the land hereafter described.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this royal patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given Absolutely in Fee Simple unto the said James Ruddach all that certain piece of land situate at Laimi, Nuuanu Valley, in the Island of Oahu, and described by [left blank] boundaries, as follows:
Commencing at Rock marked + on West edge of Nuuanu River, joining Kawaiolena (A. Paki's) and running
South 70° 45' West 52 8/12 Feet up to stake on top of river Bank (near Ruddach's House), thence
North 45° 45' West 5 chains 21 10/12 feet along row of hau trees to main ro ....
