To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: Here is my claim for land, an 'Ili, Kaluaahuawa in Kaneohe and a kula also. This land adjoins Paleka's house, and Waiape, and Halemuku, and Kahalekauila, and Kanohohuluiwi, and Waiohaka and Kalepaa - those are the lands which adjoin my land. It was formerly from Kekuanaoa, and was transferred to the Mo'i, and my occupancy is from the Mo'i. It was first gotten in 1840, and afterwards in 1844. This land has been held by me in stability.

.... it was confirmed to him by Governor Kekuanaoa in 1840, and he possessed it in peace up to his death on the 5th Instant. His heir is his widow, Kaneakua. He had no children.

Kaheana, sworn, says I know the land of Kuaana. It was given to him by Governor Kekuanaoa in 1840. The gift was confirmed by the King afterwards. He possessed it in peace up to his death on the 5th of this month. His widow is his heir according to his will now in my possession.
