Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I have a claim in an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Pelekunu on the Island of Molokai, named Alaalanui. On the north is the sea, on the south is Alaalaiki, for Aiai, on the east is Papakea, for Kahaleiki. The length is 63 fathoms and the width is 23 fathoms. This is taro land.

My occupancy has been from the time of Kamehameha III; it was given me by a former konohiki of Pelekunu who is dead. The present konohiki is Kapuai. I request that if this claim is found valid it be awarded to me.

The witnesses are Uwaiwai and Mahoe.

Honomuni, Makai and Kaluaaha by konohiki.

Land from Haehae during the time of Kamehameha I on which he lived till 1851. Mr. Meyer surveyed it into Kukamana's claim.

Pahu, sworn, we have known in the same way.

The Executive book will be made available in the Ministry's office and Ua will have access to loi 1.
