Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I have a claim in an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Pelekunu in the Island of Molokai. Its name is Puaanui. A stream is on the east, on the west is the `ili of Puaaiki, for Makaholo, on the north is Keahupuaa. This `ili is for Kailiala, a stream is on the south. This is taro land, 21 fathoms wide by 91 fathoms long.

This claim has been occupied from the time of Kamehameha I. Kaaeae, a konohiki formerly, gave it to my mak ....
