Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I hereby state me claim for land in Puunoa of Kaeo. My claim there is for 17 taro lo`i, 9 mo`o, and 3 breadfruit trees. That was my claim which I thought of stating to you, the Land Commissioners.

Kaeo, sworn, I know the lands of the claimant. They are in "Puunoa 1," Lahaina, and consisting of two ilis in one piece. One ili is called "Paopua" and the other "Koheeleele." The Lord of this is J. Kaeo, and he likewise has two sections of kalo land, one of 3 lois, and one of one loi. Namauu, who is dead, was the late Lord of this last land, which is Puunoa 3 and a house lot adjoining and he has also a section of kalo land in Moalii.

The claimant received the land in Puunoa 1 from his father, Keliiau in 18 ....
