N.R. 344v6

We, Waihoikaea and Kenui, hereby state our house lot claim at Puunoa 1 in the land of Kaeo. Here is its diagram:

[DIAGRAM]

Our occupancy was from my kupunas and makuas. They lived here formerly on the land. they are dead. My makuakane /father/ sailed to Kahiki /a foreign land/, leaving myself and this makuakane /uncle or elder of father's generation/, M. Kenui. The two of us remain in this house site and we are both claimants in it. A lo'i there I alone claim, and a kula. That is my claim at Puunoa 1. There are some lo'is and a kula makai. That is our statement to you for your consideration.
Respectfully,
WAIHOIKAEA
M. KENUI
