Greetings to the Land Commissioners: We have a claim in the `Ili in the Ahupua`a of Halawa on the Island of Molokai. The name of this `Ili is Puupa. The name of the mauka `Ili is Kii, for Kaahui The pali of Puupa is above, and the muliwai is below. I occupied this claim from ancient times; it was given by Paia, the konohiki of Halawa, to my makuas. They are gone, and I have inherited this `ili and have it until this very time. Our new konohiki is Timoteo. We have occupied and cultivated this land from that time until this day, and I go to the po`alima work days. This is taro land and also kula land. Its length is 187 /?/ and its width is 115 /?/.

I hereby request that if this claim is found valid, it will be awarded to me forever.
