To the Land Commissoners, Greetings: I, the one whose name is below, hereby petition for my claim for a lot in the Ahupua`a of Mapulehu. The measurements have been pointed out.

My lot is a parcel of land in the `ili of Hakawai, 47 fathoms long by 39 fathoms wide. Elemaleka, the konohiki under Puanaia, gave me this land.

O Commissioners to quiet land titles, that is my statement to you concerning my land claim. Kindly give me this lot which I have held for 9 years. I have some witnesses.

Witness gave the kalo patch to claimant the time Ilae was Lunaauhau, sometime in the year 1847. He has undisturbed possession of it up to his death and his widow after him, up to the present time.

E. Kuakamauna, being sworn, confirms the testimony of the former witness.
