Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim in an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Ualapue on the Island of Molokai. The name of this `ili is Kaukeanu. Mooiki, for Kauhikoakoa, is the name of the `ili on the east and on the west the name of the `ili is Kamapuna, for Paele.

I entered this claim in 1842 and have held it until this year of 1848. Kamakini was the konohiki, and he gave it to Kawelo, and Kawelo gave it to me. I have occupied a ....
