Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I, Nalii, on the Island of Molokai, have an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Kepoukaloa, named Kaluanui. Keao is mauka, Niheu is makai. This land has a kula; however it does not have a shore area. This is mountain land.

the first haku`aina was Kekauai, the first konohiki was Kaniho, who was dispossessed for Haikekua. The witnesses are all the people who go to the pa`ahao labor days in this Ahupua`a.

My occupancy of this `ili has been from the time of Kamehameha III, not from the time of Kamehameha I.
