Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim for land, Kanaue I, in the Ahupua`a of Waialua, Island of Molokai. The length is 5 chains 7 fathoms 5 feet and the width is 2 chains 5 fathoms. However, there [are] two pauku of land, one is inland and one is seaward, in the one claim which is stated to you.

The inland pauku is bounded by Paloku's land on the mauka side and Kaanaana's land on the makai side, and the pauku on ....
