To the Land Commissioners: I hereby explain my occupancy at this place, which was from my Makuas until this time. My occupancy at this place in Wainiha, named Omolehulehu began in 1838, and it is for you to consider the validity of my claim.

It is bounded: on the north by an orange tree, the length is 24 fathoms, on the east is taro lo`i land, 27 fathoms in length, on the south the length is 24 fath ....

This land received by Nihinihiula from his parents in 1842, his parents received it at the time of Kaumualii.

The Konohiki has made demands for the oranges which Nihinihiula's parents had planted. Naoi feels the oranges (trees) are for Nihinihiula.
