Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claim for one mo`o in the `ili of Kaakaukukui. I have sixteen lo`i and there is one lo`i ko`ele for the konohiki in that mo`o. That is my claim. Farewell to you and thanks,

Kahuhikana relates to the land officers. Mahuka, the overall konohiki of M. Kekuanaoa has chastised me by taking my land in Kaakaukukui of Pauoa, Honolulu. He had done this on the day of W.P. Leleihoku's funeral in 1848 and the konohiki has it since that time to the present. I have anoth ....

.... to the reason that I had taken his land as related by him. I had taken it from him because he had had not fulfilled his labor days and the work for this land. He also had not made a complaint to the court of my taking his land he could not do this because he had known of his guilt. The land has been with me for six months, Kaluhikana has not done any planting whatsoever in the least on this land because the land has been with the konohiki to the present day.

Decision: Kaluhikana has no claim on that and as shown in the above (statements). That place in its entirety shall be for the konohiki as usual. By the officers who settle titles. 13 December 1854.
