My land claim, at Mahani, mauka of Kalihi, Island of Oahu, is from the time of Kamehameha II. It is described as follows: the counting begins makai. One lo'i adjoins makai of the land of Waolani. Two mala are inland between Kamanoiki and Kewaha. Two mala are mauka between Kamanonui and Luaiki. The house lot is bounded on the north by the pali, on the east and south by the road going up from the sea to the uplands, on the west by the house lot of Luaiki.

.... and other plants.

In April of 1851 when A. Bishop surveyed this land the konohiki made objections to these fields, although there has never been a koele program here since long ago. He (Kewuuiui) had obtained these fields through farming and he has been a husbandman and has attended konohiki work regularly to the present time.

Mahiai, sworn, every statement above is true, I have known in the same way.
