I, the one whose name is below, hereby state to you my claim for a mo`o for my makuahunowai. One of my lo`i was taken by the konohiki. It was taken although I did not think it was right to take it. It was petitioned to the Tax Official and the tax official awarded it to my makuahunowai, yet the konohikl withheld it, in accordance with his ideas, not as in the Law, and my makuahunowai retained two.

However, I hereby ask that you return my lo`i which was taken by the konohiki in 1847. My makuahunowai occupied this place from th ....
