Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claim, in the 'ili of Papohaku. There are 19 lo'i, 1 hala tree, 4 cultivated gardens, making a total of 24. On the north is the po'alima of Z. Kaauwai, the east side is for Naiahaka, on the south is the fence of the land, on the west is the po'alima /lo'i/ of Z. Kaauwai and the lo'is of Kawahie. Z. Kaauwai gave these to me in 1845.

Holoua, sworn, I know of one parcel of taro in the 'Ili of Papohaku in Wailuku. He had it from Z. Kaauwai in 185 /sic/, who had it from Namakeha. No opposition.

It is bounded:
Mauka by the land of Z. Kaauwai
Waihee by the land of Naea
Makai by my land and that of Kaulahea
Maalaea by the land of the Mo'i.
