.... Napua, sworn, I had lived on this land because I had bought a house in 1845, just as it has been stated above by Keliikipi. I had lived under Mauna, a caretaker for Neki and an overseer for konohiki days. In 1849 he deserted the land and was fined $10.00 before L. Kuluwailehu, the tax assessor. When it was time to file claim, Mauna did not do so for this place, but I had filed a claim and now, I wish to reject this claim and live under the konohiki the way I had done in the beginning.
