Concerning my remaining claims which I state before the court of the Land Commissioners. Greetings: I hereby state my remaining claims, which are in the Ahupua`a of Wailuku on the Island of Maui, within the `ili of Papohaku. I got this land in the year 1843. Also, in Olowalu are two `ilis for my wahine, which she got before the death of Kamehameha I.

Also there are some mo`os of mine in the `ili of Paeohi in Lahaina which I got in the year 1842. Also in Honolulu, at Pauoa, one half of Kamooakua which I got from my Kaikaina, Kaapuiki. There is where my punalua, Nohoua, is living. I got this land in the year 1844. Those are my remaining claims.

Claimant had this from Kaapuiki in 1846 and has held it undisputed. It wa a gift of friendship.

This is a claim for Kaauwai and his wife separately.

Keawelauole, sworn, I know the lands of the claimant, Kaauwai in part. He has two pieces of lands in "Paeohi," Lahaina. The 1st piece, this is a pauku of kalo land called Waiea and the other a pauku of kalo land. There is one poalima loi in the first piece.

The 1st piece is bounded:
Mauka by the land of Kaimunui
Olowalu by Kekuelike's land
Makai by Kaaua's land
Kaanapali by "Wahikuli."

The 2nd piece is bounded:
Mauka by Hauola land and Kimokeo's
Olowalu by Neuneu's land
Makai by Pakea's land
Kaanapali by Kimokeo's land

For his wife's lands, Kaauwai said her witne ....

Holoua, sworn, I know his land in the `Ili of Papaohaku, in Wailuku, with seven parcels.
Parcel 1 - 6 Lo`i.
Parcel 2 - 4 Mo`o and kula wauke (this is 1 acre).
Parcel 3 - 5 Lo`i and 2 taro mo`o.
Parcel 4 - 1 Lo`i.
Parcel 5 - 2 Taro mo`o.
Parcel 6 - 6 Taro mo`o.
Parcel 7 - 3 Taro pauku.

Parcels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 were from Namakeha in 1843, and parcel 7 was from Kaunuohua in 1837. Namakeha got his parcels in 1837 from Kaunuohua. No opposition.

Maalaea by the land of Laulahea.
