To the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my land claim, which is at Laekea in Hoaeae, Ewa, Island of Oahu. It is bounded on the north by the land of Koamiki and Hinawale, on the east by the land of Hinawale, and also on the south by Hinawale and Kekoamiki, on the west by the po`alima, and a residence. Kauhikapu gave me this land. ....

Kaihumau's land is from Namauu in the year 1836-7 and he has lived peacefully to the present, no one objecting. Kapoli is the konohiki now.
