To the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, greetings; I hereby tell you of my land claim at Kapiwai in Pauoa. It is bounded on the north by the land of Kuhilani, on the east by a stream, on the south by the land of Huea, on the west by the fence of Keopu. Also, one po`alima is situated with my claim, which is the konohiki's.

Kahaleiwi, sworn, I have seen his place at Kapiwai in Pauoa, having 10 taro patches and a pasture.

Kekuahauli's land is from Keikenui in the year 1839 and he has lived there to this time; no one has objected.
