Alexander Adams, sworn for claimant, I am well acquainted with the lot of Mrs. Dowsett situated in Honolulu. It is part of my lot which I sold to her. The survey of this lot made by T. Metcalf on 13th January 1849 shows the correct bounds of it. This is a portion of my old lot which was given to me in 1815 by Kamehameha I for services rendered to him, as a sea captain and in other ways. I held the same in quiet & peace un ....

.... this was first given to me by Kamehameha I for some work I had done for him. I have lived comfortably without any disturbances until in the year 1834, in September, I had a sale with Mary Dowsett. I am confirming this bill of sale and I have affixed my signature to it in certification. No one has ever objected from the time of my contract with Mary Dowsett to this time.
