No. 840, Poola, Honolulu, October 15, 1847
N.R. 467v2

Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my land claim at Kaliu in Honolulu. I have ten patches, six of them are together in one place, which adjoin the makai side of the patches of Maii. Three patches adjoin the mauka side of the po`alima patches. One patch is within the mo`o `aina of Paauki. I also have a small house lot there. I occupied that place at the time of the commotion by Kaomi. I have two houses there and there is a small kula behind these houses. I have held these places peacefully under the konohiki.

All of these places were received at the same time the five patches were received. There are two houses on this property and Poola has lived there since that time to the present; no one has objected to Poola.

Paahana, sworn by the Bible and stated, "My information on these two places is very similar to everything which has been related here by Mahoe on Poola's property and no one else has any interest there."
