Kuaiwa, sworn, I had seen Maakuhia write the claims of Kuinoino, Kamohai, Papamakua, Kau and mine all on the same day in 1847 and delivered them to the land commissioners. All of our claims, Kamohai, Kau, Papamakua along with mine have been announced with the exception of this claim which had been written on that day with all sincerity. I have also seen this claim in Kaaukukui, Honolulu, Oahu of 14 patches and a pas ....

.... until he died in 1853 of small pox and his younger brother Haleakala in farming on the land at the present. There has been no opposition from the beginning to the present time.

Kamohai, sworn, my claim was written by Haakuhia and on the same day he has written this claim just as Kuaiwa has stated above and I have known in the same way. Kuinoino's claim as Kuaiwa has stated, no objections.
