To Wm. L. Lee and all the Land Commissioners: The `ili of Kahoai/ai/ in Waiawa was given me by J.A. Kuakini. Said land is situated between other `ilis of Waiawa. Kahoaiai is situated exactly in the middle and is surrounded by Haleaha and Pauaio and Kapuaihalulu and Kalona and Kapapaa and Kuhia waho, and a portion of Manana. These lands surround Kahoaiai on all sides with taro land and kula and Kahoaiai is situated in the middle of these lands. In order to truly understand the boundaries, Ku, the former occupant of Kahoaiai, pointed out the boundaries of Kahoaiai and Haleaha to me and to I. Kahauolono and the people of Waiawa. /Also/, certain people who knew -Moo, Naheana, Puali and Nukumoo - kama`ainas of Ewa, pointe ....
