To the Honorable Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claims for land:
First: a house lot at Auwaiolimu in Honolulu. My occupancy of this place began in the time of Kaahumanu I, and I have lived there continuously until the present, in peace, and at this time, however, I am being opposed by Lawaia, but this place is not his, it is my own.This place has been surveyed, and its diagram is below:

The survey is as follows: beginning at the west corner, on the side which adjoins a road, the first side running
North 70° East 1 chain 56 9/12 feet, turning
North 76° East 1 chain 7 3/12 feet, turning
North 86° East 2 chains 52 2/12 feet to the place of Lawaia, then turning and running between these lands,
South 26° 30' East 1 chain 3 4/12 feet, turning
South 41° 30' West 2 chains 18 6/12 feet to the Government wall, then turning
North 71° West ....

.... Richardson who had written Mahina's claim and had taken it to the land officers at Halekauila in 1847. I have seen his land at Kewalo, Honolulu - 3 land sections.

1. The house lot and its boundares:
Mauka, Lae
Waikiki, land of Lawaia
Makai, Pauoa stream
Ewa, Keawepooole and Kaia.

2. 3 patches and a pasture - The boundaries are:
Mauka, Lawia and Piikoi
Waikiki, small street
Makai, Lawaia and Kaia
Ewa, Kawewe and Haole.

3. 12 patches - the boundaries are:
Mauka, Kikau and J. Booth
Waikiki, Pehu
Makai, Naone and Poohee
Ewa, a precipice.

Section 1 from Kekuanaoa, Kaomi's time. Section 2 from Kaahumanu I during her lifetime and living has been comforatble to the present time; no one has objected.
