The claimant appeared and made oath that he had sent in a claim for a[n] Ahupuaa of land in Kona, Hawaii, called "Onouli" before February 1848 and also for an ili of land in "Pauwela, Hamakualoa, Maui. The Commission resolved to hear his claim.

Keaweluaole, sworn, I know the Ahupuaa of Onouli on Hawaii. It belongs to the claimant. He received it from Kuakini in 1831 and held it without dispute up to 1835 when Kanaina took it away from him because he would not live under him and Lunalilo.

Z. Kaauwai, sworn, I know the land of claimant's wife in Pauwela, Hamakualoa. Her name is Lonohakikini.< ....
