The Land Commissioners, greetings: I hereby state, for myself and my heirs and representatives, these claims for land, which are as follows: a right as Konohiki under M. Kekauonohi and A. Keliiahonui at Kalihi kai, Ahupua`a of Halelea, island of Kauai. In the appointment of myself and my hoahanau and our makuakane and makuahine, we dwelt under M. Kekauonohi; from ancient times the right over the people was hers, from her makuas, and so also was our connection with A. Keliiahonui, and others of them. At the end o ....
