The Land Commissioners, greetings to you all: I hereby state my claim for land. I, Kekeko, a Hawaiian subject, live at Kaawanui, island of Kauai. /My land is/ 33 fathoms on the west, 30 fathoms on the east, 55 fathoms on the north, and 40 fathoms on the south. There are 13 loko and the house lot and a kula. Those are my claims which are stated to you. They were received from Kupia and have been held until Kaulaloa, /the present Konohiki/.
