To the Honorable Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, Kamakahiki, hereby state my claim. I have a house lot in the land of N. Kapau and Kapuu, the konohikis, from whom I received it. Wehekapilikia is the name of the house lot. The measurement of the lot begins on the west and runs to the east 216 feet along the south side, from the south it runs north 228 feet along the east side, from the east it runs west 72 feet along the north side, from the north it runs south 166 feet along the west side. This is a many-sided lot - there are two angles on the east side. Here is its diagram below, illustrating the angles and measurements.

.... ion IV:
Mauka by idle land
Kohala by Muliwai ili land
Makai by Keliiholomoana's land
Hilo by my land.
Dry land, partially cultivated.

I have given them (two) their land. It was their old land, I was new there and had acquired it in 1837 when they were there. No one has objected to this day.

Hapuu /konohiki/, sworn and stated, I have seen in the ili land at Kamokiwai, it is a house site and the boundaries completely around are mine. There is no fence, only a house site. It is not as he had filed, that is a claim for himself. There are 2 houses for him, I had given him his interest in 1847. I have denied him the lot for which he had filed as a claim.

Kamakahiki, sworn and stated, I have no claim just as I have indicated in the deed.
