To the President of the Land Commissioners, William L. Lee. Greetings to you and your fellow workers:

In accordance with the law, and your announcement, I have a claim for a lot, situate in the `ili of Kawaikapu. Haleoo, Kamookahi, Kaalaea, Mookahi 2, Kepoo, Kuikaiao, Paina, Malua, have areas within this lot. All these people are within this lot with their rights of cultivation and houses, under me, nor can I deny their claims.

There is also a claim for kula land which is mauka of the aforesaid lot. These claims which I hereby state are clear and undisputed because it is well understood that the basis of my claim is A. Paki. He is my heir at the time of my death, and if we receive this together it shall be ....
