Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Nunu, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Twenty four 50/100 paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Makawao in the Island of Maui and described as follows:
Commencing at South corner of this and North corner of Lopa's joining Moononio's, and running
North 53° West 17 chains 29 8/12 feet along unoccupied ....
