Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Keawe, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Thirty four 56/100 Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Makawao in the Island of Maui and described as follows:
Commencing at stake at East corner of Daniel Ii's by Public road and running
South 56° East 2 Chains 35 8/12 feet along road to stake at angle, thence
South 10° East 12 Chains 4 feet along land designed for a church to stake at slight angle of this makai corner of J.S. Green's land, thence
