Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto George Thorton, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Thirty Seven dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Kanauaue, Kona in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:
Commencing at pile of stones at mauka North corner of John Peters land and running
North 65° 30' East 5 2/10 chains along Kanauaue 2, to pile stones at mauka East corner of this land, thence
North 32° 45' West 6 9/10 chains, along makai boundar ....
