Survey of the Government Land of Kealia, Lanai

Commencing at a pile of stones over cross cut in a large stone (the same being the point of Commencement of Kealia Kapu survey) to the West of a small bay at the mouth of a steep rocky gulch (which gulch is the boundary between Kealia kapu and Kealia Aupuni) at a place called “Oanapuka”

1. The boundary runs up the bottom of said gulch to a point on West bank, marked thus Y on a stone; which point bears north 4° 25' East true 4960 feet from Commencement
2. Thence up the bottom of the gulch to a point on West bank marked thus + on stone; which point bears from last point north 4° 16' East true 849 feet;
3. Thence still up the bottom of the gulch to a point on North bank marked thus + on stone; which point bears from last point North ....

.... a cross cut into a large rock amongst a lot of rocks in a hallow called Ehoehonui;
20. South 5° 58' East 6671 feet along Palawai following down ravine for some ways but leaving it near the sea where it (the ravine) makes a bend to the West; and the boundary continues;
21. South 6° 6' East true 1779 feet along Palawai to a large pile of stones at sea shore at a place called Lae Paakai;
22. Thence along seashore to point of commencement.
The traverse along the shore being as follows: 1. South 70° 60' West true 1090 feet; 2. South 87° 17' West true 3441 feet; 3. South 88° 45' West true 8170 to Commencement.
Area 4495.36 Acres.
