Piikoi as the Luna for the division of lands, divided Poloke which was Keawehano's (giving him the portion awarded on page [left blank])and taking this, the smaller half for the King, preferring this. On one side is KaiwioKaihu (Keaniani, see p. 263), on the upper side is John Ii, on the other two sides is Opu, of Estate of Kamehameha V. I pointed out the boundaries to Professor Alexander, who surveyed them, the piece is well defined by Kuaonas [kuauna], a fence and a ditch.

Office of the Commissioner of Boundaries

In the Matter of the boundaries of ½ Poloke in Makiki Valley

Proper application having been made by the Commissioners of Crown Lands, and due notice having been given to all parties concerned, the matter came on to be heard at the Court House in Honolulu on the third day of April A.D. 1874, and from the proofs taken, I find that this piece was “Maheled” to the Crown by Keawehano and that the boundaries are as follows, viz: apana 3 of Poloke Makiki are:

Beginning at North mauka corner of this land, adjoining Pawaa, John Ii, the boundary runs:
1. South 20° 26' West 125 feet true along government land;
2. North 69° 55' East 282 feet true along KaiwioKaihu;
3. North 27° 04' West 51 feet true along kahawai to John Ii land;
4. North 85° 20' West 42 feet true J. Ii
5. South 79° 41' west 159 feet true J. Ii to place of beginning.
