Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I, Kaiewe, hereby state my claims to you. The measurements are: on the north, 10 fathoms, on the east also, adjoining the lot of Kawainui, 11 fathoms, on the south, 11 fathoms, on the west, adjoining the lot of Nahau, 12 fathoms. The long sides are on the east and west and the wide sides are on the north and south. There is no cultivation. This lot is finished.
Here is the claim for a kihapai of vegetable food on the kula, as follows: The length which I made with my own hands is 107 fathoms on the east, adjoining Ku's kihapai, and the same on the west, adjoining Kawainui's kihapai; on the north it is 42 fathoms, adjoining Nahau's kihapai -- the north and south are the same. Also, mauka of this, 120 on the east and west, and on the north the width is 15 fathoms, that is the place which adjoins Kalua&a ....
