Pohui, sworn, I know the land of the claimant. They are in "Punakea 2," Lahaina and consist of one piece of kula and another of 2 lois. The claimant received these lands from Kamakini, the luna, in 1847 and he has held them in peaceably [peace] ever since.

Kamaunu, Kahapuna's own son-in-law relates that Kahapuna had died in 1849 and had bequested (land) to his wife. They did not do well with it and returned it to the konohiki, E. Kuakamauna. He now lives under the konohiki as in former times.
