To the Honorable Land Commissioners: Here is the diagram of our place from Hoapili, with the length and width. /See diagram/

My place is from Hoapili, however this place is the King's. It was given to me to fence completely, which I did. Piho sent to cut the lot for himself, and said he would petition, so I said "then petition." Piho petitioned, and we were tried, and Hoapili terminated Piho -- he had nothing here. Kamakea also petitioned, and Hoapili refused him, and Kamakea returned and said to us: "you have the property and I am deprived," and I returned to the land.

This is the way Hoapili had taken care of Nahienaena's people; she is a parent and the same was directed to Hoapili-wahine. I did not hear Hoapili-wahine request of Kauluohi but it was documented that Kauluohi was the heir. I had known that that place had been for the government before and Naienaena gave it to Kamakea. Later Kamakea went to the country so Hoapili gave it to Keawa.
