Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I have a claim in an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Pelekunu on the Island of Molokai, named Kapai. On the north is the `ili of Wawaekea, for Lokomaikai, on the south is the `ili of Kauuele, for Kuku, on the east are some lo`i pa'ahao, and on the west is a pali. The length is 36 fathoms and an 'iwilei /yard/, and the width is 25 fathoms. This is taro land and kula, which I have occupied from the time of Kamehameha ....
