I, the one whose name is below, hereby state to you that I have an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Kupeke by Island of Molokai. The name of my `ili is Kainahale. It lies from the seashore to far up the mountain. The length of the land for taro is 15 /fathoms?/ and the width is 4 and a yard. It was given to me by the konohiki Kaiama, and he is still living here in the Ahupua`a of Kupeke.
