Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a lo`i claim on the island of Kauai in the `ili of Kahoomano in Makaweli. I received my occupancy there from P. Kanoa, because of being at the fort.

Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 land from Paul Kanoa under these conditions: He may live there without opposition as long as there is no offense, but should there be any offense, he shall be separated from the fort and these lands shall be for the fort.
Section 5 this section from Kelii nui at the time Kekanonohi was governor, here no objections to the 4 1/2 lois, but the Konohiki had demands for the 1/2 portion of the fifth loi and for the poalima days. This was in 1848.
