To the Land Commissioners at Hale Kauwila in Honolulu, Oahu, greetings: I hereby state that I, Hoolapa, a Hawaiian subject living at Waimea, District 2, Division 1, on the island of Kauai of the Hawaiian Islands, have a claim for land. I have six lo`i, four were from Kaikioewa and two were from Kapuniai. and they have been held for perhaps three years. Three of my lo`i were given by Kaikioewa to three men who are under me. Their names are:
