Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I have a claim in an 'ili in the Ahupua`a of Pelekunu on the Island of Molokai. The name of the `ili is Alaalaiki. It is 44 fathoms on the east and west and 26 fathoms on the north and south.
The `ili Makai by adjoining on the east, is for Kahaleki; the `ili adjoining on the west is for Kaiwipilia.
This is taro land.* The present konohiki is Kapuai. I request that if my claim is found valid ....
