No. 268, John Ii
With esteem to the Honorable Land Commissioners: I, John Ii, one of the native-born, descended from the ancestors, will tell you of my house lot on the northeast side of the city of Honolulu.
Here is the verification: The place was unused, no one lived there before I occupied it. I built a house and house lot. No prominent person or alii of the kingdom objected to this place at which I built, until now. I began to live at this place in 1828.
Here is the diagram and the explanation: /see diagram/ [none in this text]

.... ected since that time.
Waiakea, sworn by the Word of God and stated, I have seen this pro-perty. It is on the eastern part of Honolulu here.
E. Kuhia's lot is on the north
a field on the east; another field on the south and
Chapel Street is on the west side.
This place has been fenced but it has rotted at this time. Four houses are on the inside, one adobe and three pili houses. John Ii had built these houses and the property owners had built other houses. There is a well there. Kaahumanu had given John Ii this property. John Ii has always lived here and he has also lived with the chiefs. Their servants have always lived there to this present time. I have not seen nor heard that anyone has objected.
