No. 6288, Kealohanui
N.R. 174v7
Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I, Kealohanui, on the Island of Molokai, have an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Honouliwai. The name of this `ili is Mahana - it has a kula, and also a mountain area.
I occupied this `ili in 1842 and have been here until this day; this `ili was from my makuas who had it formerly. The konohikis during this period have been, first, Kamainalulu, then Lolo, and Kaneelele, who is the last.
The witnesses are the people who go to the po`alima labor days here in Honouli. Therefore, I have a claim in this `ili, for you to investigate and to award.
Furthermore, I have a claim for a house lot in Honouli; its name is Waikiu. Kindly consider this claim.
