Makuahine, sworn, I know the lands of the claimant. They are in "Polanui," Lahaina and is [are] in 3 pieces. One piece consists of lois, another of kula land, and another kula land close to the house.
The claimant received these lands from me in the year 1845 and their title has never been disputed.
The first piece consisting of 10 lois is bounded:
Mauka by Kealakai
Olowalu by Kaenikane's
Makai by John White's land
Kaanapali by Kaleipaehala's land.

.... without him being any way at fault. And the other half is still with Hamanalau. This should go back to him so that he will have it all as was the case in the beginning. That is what I know.
Upai, sworn, Malaekahana's testimony is true. I know exactly what he knows no other section of his has been contested. Only section 6 as been divided in half and the konohiki gave it to someone without him committing an offense and the rest of the sections have had no one contesting them as of the present.
